The much anticipated local derby showed 2 in form teams hungry to keep their season alive. Kings, champions of Division One against Yarm Vineyard, an established Premiership side.
In a match which Kings dominated, Yarm Vineyard showed why you need to take your chances at the top level. Yarm took the lead after 20 minutes after being awarded a penalty despite Kings having all the early possession. Kings kept their heads high and worked their 3-5-2 formation well and always looked like getting back into the game. Kings themselves denied what looked to be a definite penalty after Dunn’s goal bound shot hit an arm.

Kings again came out for the second half with great self belief but a second goal for Yarm on 70 minutes took the stuffing out of them and there was to be no reply. Yarm dominated the last few minutes of possession but Kings will take heart from a positive performance against their local rivals who they will face next season in the Premiership.
