All Saints Kings Academy 3
Stephen Farish (1)
Richie Robinson (1)
Jamie Dunn (1)
Tyneside Vineyard 1

After the fireworks of the away tie between the two sides both teams seemed to be determined to win the game and down the other team. On an incredibly boggy pitch, both teams struggled to play flowing football, with wing play and the long ball the only real options to attack. The impressive Jamie Dunn lead the line well for All Saints and mustered up the first chance of the game when he cut in from the right but his shot was tame and didn’t trouble the keeper. All Saints took the lead on the half hour mark when Richard Robinson curled in a free kick from 40 yards out, Stephen Farish glanced a header at goal that the keeper parried, for Dunn to slot the ball home past a body of defenders. Tyneside could have equalised when their striker turned in the box but Michael Farish pulled off an impressive save to his left to keep All Saints ahead. All Saints had a glorious chance to double their lead when Dunn cut the ball across goal, but Farish mishit his shot, and although the ball seemingly crossed the line the referee waved play on. Just before the half time whistle, All Saints lemmings corner almost came off but the Tyneside keeper tipped the ball round the post with Farish and Will Turton oncoming.
Half-Time: All Saints 1 v 0 Tyneside Vinyard
The second half was a similar affair, with the pitch getting worse and both sides struggling to get the ball out of the boggy midfield area. Richard Robinson came close to doubling All Saints lead but his free-kick curled wide of the right hand post. But with 55 minutes played All Saints lead was doubled when Robinsons corner was whipped to the back post where Farish had lost his marker to bullet a header into the back of the net. Tyneside rarely threatened the All Saints goal but they pulled one back when the ball fell to the feet of their striker from a corner for him to stab home. It was a nervous last 15 minutes for All Saints but nerves were shed when All Saints won 3 headers in a row, First Farish, then Dunn and then Glen Hutchinson leaving Robinson clear with a 1 on 1 with the keeper and his left foot shot curled into the bottom corner to seal the win. With only seconds to go Tyneside should have been reduced to ten men when their centre back headbutted Graeme Walters but the referee let it go and blew the final whistle. All Saints winning the came and taking the edge into the cup meeting between the two sides next week.
